All My Post Vanished – Don’t Freak!- 145 mysql error – WordPress fix

yikesSo there I was this morning, going around and checking my blogs . . . looking at traffic and enjoying my morning espresso.

All of the sudden, I noticed on a particular (very popular banking blog) EVERY POST and PAGE had VANISHED!

Surprisingly, I didn’t freak out at all because I saw that the Tag’s and Categories were still intact.

So calmly I walked into my WP admin area and sure enough there it was, 0 Post and 0 Pages. Now I am not a techie by nature, so for me to handle this on my own was HUGE.

I logged into cPanel and went to phpMyAdmin (a part of cPanel I rarely venture into).

Once I was inside of phpMyAdmin I selected the main wordpress database XXXX_wrpd1 and then selected the table “wp_posts”.

There in front of my eyes was a scary error:

#145 – Table ‘./bankingd_wrdp1/wp_posts’ is marked as crashed and should be repaired

So what did I do, I used Google and typed in “wordpress #145 mysql error”.

Here is the #145 mySQL error FIX:

  1. First Log into your domains mySQL database (I was already there and I used phpMyAdmin to get there).
  2. Next select the SQL tap at the top and run this simple command “REPAIR TABLE wp_post”
  3. Then, there were a few messages telling me everything was ok.

I went back to my blogs home page and BAM everything was back to normal.

I hope that helps someone!
