Guide To Surviving The Internet (For Dummies)
The Internet is a fun place, but if you don’t know certain key rules or how to act normal you will fail miserably.
Let’s get started, this is serious business . . .
Google Is Not An Address Bar
After you first enter into the Internet immediately run from AOL.com and Yahoo.com (this is not the Internet). Apparently 124,000,000 << yes that number is correct . . . use Google to search for “Yahoo.com”, I didn’t check AOL.com because I thought I might end up in tears.
One time I met a guy who actually believed that Yahoo.com was the Internet.
Not only is this wrong, but there is something called a address bar (alas Google.com is not an address bar).
Don’t Become A Deranged Religious D*Bag
Next there is a lot of productive things to do online. The temptation to be join a religious cult will be strong, but you have to resist!
Try to stay away from joining an ultra whacked out religious forum that debates if “Mario is a homosexual” or not, . . . when you do these things you just make yourself look like a complete sex crazed D*bag.
Case in point Mr. Jeb Thurmond did just that, and now the fact that he’s really a over sexed crazed deranged D*bag is public knowledge.

Also if you find yourself in the situation to have stumbled on such material resist saying things like “Amen, Brother Jeb!” because in the case of Levi Jones, you also expose yourself as a deranged idiot.
Seriously people think before you do these things . . . that leads me to the next item.
Try Not To Flaunt Your Drug Addictions To Law Enforcement
Again the Internet is a public place, so the last thing you really want to do is flaunt your drug addictions to potential law enforcement. Posting your location as “Virginia” and making your forum user name “iSmoker” with a nice graphic to go with it will just draw attention. Some things are just common sense.

Every Demographic Gets Made Fun Of
If you are easily offended, the Internet is probably not the place for you. To date, ever imaginable demographic gets made fun of. I have collected a list of sites that make fun of specific demographics.
Old People – http://www.oldpeoplearefunny.com/
White People Suck – http://www.ubersite.com/m/26723
Black People Suck – http://www.goteenforums.com/forums/peer-400266-support-0.html
You get the idea . . . Gay’s, Jews, Mexicans, Young, Old, White, Black, Yellow . . . they all get served on the Internet.
If you’re going to be on the Internet, you just have to learn that on the Internet you will come across things that you will not agree with. . . just deal with it and don’t waste your time making some petition (in reality no one cares).
That’s it . . . I hope you enjoy the Meta Fever Michael Smith Guide To Surviving The Internet (For Dummies).
Tell me what you would add to the list . . .
