Online Sales Techniques

Alright, let’s face it. Whether a part of your own affiliate marketing efforts, or part of a huge marketing corporation: results make or break.http://www.metafever.com/wp-content/uploads/Online-Sales-Techniques-%E2%80%93-Part-2-Focus-On-A-Process.jpg

Fact is, that if there are failing results, the process is failing. And as marketers on the internet we must take responsibility for failing results and discover what went wrong? My brother is an owner of a small business and will admit that a bad sales day won’t make a bad sales week and a bad sales week won’t make a bad sales month. People tend to focus on results more than the issue behind the results. More simply put: The Process.

Here are some key ways to keep focused on your process and identify problems.

1.) Take a Day Away…

How many times a day do you check to see how many conversions you’ve made on a new offer your marketing? Like me, it may be a good amount of time checking to see what the EPC is on a specific offer.

Take a day and forget about reporting…Trust me, I know it will be rough.

Take the day and ask things like, “What can be done to make this campaign better?”

“Is the landing page charming enough to buy this product?”

“What can be changed to make this better and more appealing?”

It sounds simple enough but means so much in the results in the long run. Logistically go through the process your users will go through.

2.) Quality vs. Quantity

I caught myself saying to a buddy of mine when talking about marketing strategies, “Don’t focus on results, focus on process and then results will magically appear.”

It is important to become process driven in the effort and know that when working, you’re working towards an ultimate goal that is set for success. Rather than waiting for the next sale and next after that, the process in that ideal becomes fleeting and discouraging. Let the activity of improving any marketing efforts be the engaging factor and not just the end result.

In conclusion, what is the main goal in eating a gourmet meal? Is the goal to be finished quickly? Or is it to savor every last bite? I have found that by allowing focus to be on the process of making my ads better in the users eye; in turn this gives more acceptable results, as well as an appetite to be motivated in achieving quality work. I believe that by focusing on a process you will fully enjoy the benefits of results anyone would be proud of.
