The Web 2.0 Lifestyle

starbucks-and-the-web-20-lifestyleWhen I woke up this morning I was very excited. It didn’t take long for me to spring out of bed at 6:30 a.m. and what was even rarer was that I didn’t hit my “snooze” button even once.

It’s true, there are a lot of successful “dot com” entrepreneurs who sleep in and make money the “lazy way”. I am not one of those guys.

To this day, I wake very early spend some time reading or in devotion, then I fight to get to my desk by no later than 8 a.m. (I have found over the years that a schedule like this is critical to success).

However, I do admit it’s not always the case . . . take this morning for example.

I am in the middle of launching off convulse.com; so where best to launch off the new web site other than Star Bucks’.

When I got up this morning, I knew that I didn’t want to have a monolithic convulse.com launch from my home office. Rather I wanted to go out and be social and grab a quad espresso.

As I set in Star Bucks right now I realize how blessed I am. Most people only dream of living the kind of life I have.

I am married (almost 10 years now) with 3 wonderful children. Often I walk away from “dot com” work around 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. and take a bike ride with my son or start marinating steaks so that I can grill with my family for dinner.convulse-launching-from-starbucks

One of the things I enjoy about working online is the freedom and flexibility that being a net entrepreneur affords me.

When you ponder your own success online, remember there thousands of people just like you and just like me who do make their full time living online.

Never give up and you too can enjoy the Web 2.0 lifestyle.
